Conservation Projects
A record of the conservation projects I've been volunteering for on my journey to work for the ocean:
Plover Rovers
I joined Plover Rovers to help coordinate the Talking the Coast 2021 project, building relationships with new partners to run events to celebrate the joining up of the English Coastal Path. The work I did as Local Engagement Officer South East led to two new projects for 2022 - the Whitstable Boat Show Family Ecology Education Programme, and the Mitigation Meet up 2022 with Birdwise East Kent. I'm now coordinating these events, and have been invited to represent Plover Rovers as part of a team of volunteers at the UN Ocean Decade Laboratory in May 2022.

MarineLIFE
I've been volunteering as a fundraising officer for MARINElife since April 2021. I worked with members of the board and fellow volunteers to create a project plan for the funding application to the Green Recovery Fund. I also built a database of contacts in the local community in preparation for engaging them when the project begins.

MARINElife
My local wetlands, Walthamstow Wetlands and Woodberry Wetlands, are managed by London Wildlife Trust. In March 2022 I started volunteering on their engagement and education programme, supporting pond dipping, and mini beast hunts.

In 2021 I worked as Programme Editor for the LNHS, producing and printing a brochure of their member focussed activities.
